Wednesday, March 18 the PCCC is planning a very special field trip.

We have made arrangements to visit a new data center that is about to open in Kannapolis. The management has very generously consented to give us a glimpse into the type of facility that might hold our emails, web sites, backups, and DNA profile. Once they open, even the plumber would need a security clearance to unclog the toilet.

Because the capacity for the tour is seriously restricted, we will take reservations on a first-come basis. Watch for details on how to sign up in the March newsletter and be ready to claim your space after that.

Things to know before signing up:

  • You must be a paid member of the PCCC by March 12. Send your check with your dues according to the instructions at http://pc3.org/membership/payment/.
  • The tour starts at 1:30 pm March 18 in Kannapolis. We will arrange carpools for this daytime event.
Please join us. The Personal Computer Club of Charlotte [PC3] meets the second Thursday of each month (next meeting Thursday, March 12, 2015) in the Main Fellowship Hall at Pritchard Memorial Baptist Church, 1117 South Blvd in Charlotte. The meeting gets under way promptly at 7:00pm. We generally start with a brief review of current PC issues in the news. Following that we have a presentation on a topic of interest to PC or Smart Phone users and wrap up by 9:00pm. Initial attendance at the meeting is free and open to the public.

If your bring your own meal, come to the meeting about 5:45 to 6:00. We have a great time at “eating before the meeting”. For directions or additional information visit our website at www.pc3.org.

Find us on Facebook at http://www.facebook.com/pc3.org.
