February 12, 2015 – Using Technology to Provide Information

A Message from the Common Table

Short message this month. The weather is great today, I just want to be outside.

Microsoft just had their Windows 10 event a few weeks ago. Not a lot to show other that the next preview was demonstrated. We will show you how to get it, if you have a spare computer or hard-drive to run it on. Windows 10 Link

This month’s topic will be presented by our own Maryanne Daily. She works for the Charlotte area Better Business Bureau. She will show and talk about how the BBB uses technology to provide information to business and consumers.

We are almost ready for elections of officers/board members of the group. We have the nominations and elections in March and any one elected takes over the position in April. If you would like to step up and help serve our group, please come forward at the meeting or contact me. As always, all positions are available to someone that really would like to serve us as an officer or board member.

We may also have time for a short question and answer session, so please bring your questions, issues and problems about computing with you.

I look forward to seeing all of you this week. I also want to see some of our members or guests that receive this news letter who do not come often. Coming to the meeting is the ultimate ‘Social Media’
thing you can do. Don’t just stay at home and e-mail and Facebook, come out an see real people that share a “Common” interest. If your bring your own meal, come to the meeting about 5:45 to 6:00. We have a great time “eating before the meeting”.

See you this Thursday.
