PCCC Board meeting
This is a reminder to all of the PCCC board members and all of our friends that we will have the next PCCC Board meeting Monday December 22 at the Smokehouse, at 5:30pm. Please put this date on your calendar and please try to attend, since we need your input on the club's direction. Thank you.

All members are encouraged to come to the Board meeting and add their comment. If you would like to be added to the Board mailing list, please contact Membership@pc3.org.

Please take advantage of the online forum at http://pc3.org/cgi-bin/dcforum/dcboard.cgi. We're trying to open the Board's discussions throughout the month to the rest of the membership and keep everyone informed with our thoughts.

We also have General Discussion and Help conferences where you can bring up your own topics. Remember, the more you use the club's resources, the more resources will become available.

If you have misplaced this emailing, most PCCC newsletters are archived at http://pc3.org/news/index.shtml.

Special Interest Groups (SIG)

Special Interest Groups

It is not time again for our special interest groups to meet, but they'll come up in January before you've broken too many resolutions. Make joining a SIG one of those resolutions.

For those new to the club, the Special Interest Groups, or SIGs, are special meetings dedicated to specific topics. Remember, SIGs are for the club's paying members. You can give your $5 dues for membership through April 2004 to the moderator at any meeting or mail them with the information at the address below.

The SIG schedule is as follows:

Dues mail-in form »

Webmaster's SIG
We're looking for volunteers to "own" each page of the website. If you'd like to learn a little bit about creating web pages and help support the club, please contact Dewey Williams, webmaster.

Coming in Februrary! Hands-on group opportunities for anyone to learn how a webpage is made.

This group will also get tips from Galen Bolen on graphics manipulation -- from drawing to saving in a format that others can use.

MS Office SIG

Microsoft Office SIG
"Beyond words and numbers"

January 12, 2004, 7:00pm
CompUSA, South Boulevard and I-485

The MS Office SIG this month covers Working with Excel. The excitement starts! From here on out, you may pick up tips for uses you've never imagined of Office.

Ideas and a downloadable session outline are on the MS Office SIG page below but if there's something you're particularly interested in, let us know.

Join us for fellowship at the "Eatin' before the Meetin' " . Come look for us about 5:30.

Please help us promote this SIG by telling your coworkers, underlings, (boss), friends -- anyone who uses MS Office -- that they'll be more efficient after a few months with us.

As you already should know, we won't have a Digital Camera SIG meeting this month because of the Christmas Holiday. Our next meeting will be in January on the 13th. You will get more details next month. Basically we will go over all the holiday pictures you took with your new digital cameras. Important! Your assignment this month is to take plenty of holiday pictures. Happy photographing and I hope everyone has a great holiday.

See you in January.
