Next PC3 Special Interest Groups
Meetings
Join us for our
meetings the week of November 15, 2004
Important Announcement -- Schedule Changes
After the first of the year, we will be changing our SIG schedules.
Nothing's written in stone, yet, so this is your opportunity to give
your input for when will be most convenient to you.
Be sure you come to your favorite SIG meeting in November and make
your interest known. Hopefully we can set a schedule so more people can
make all the SIGs they're interested in.

Interest Groups
For those new to the club, the Special Interest Groups, or
SIGs, are special meetings dedicated to specific topics.
Remember, SIGs are for the club's paying members. You can give
your $15 dues for membership through April 2005 to the moderator
at any meeting or mail them with the information at the address
below.
New! pay / donate to the club through Pay Pal. We'll
put a button on the website soon. For now, log in to your Pay
Pal account and Send Money to Treasurer@pc3.org.
Save time and checks to renew your membership.
The SIG schedule is as follows:

Product Review |

| Late Breaking Product Review
CompUSA generously hosts our SIG meetings. Their current (11/14-11/20) ad
shows an Olympus Camedia 3.2 megapixel camera for $129.99 (pg 3, SKU #
311186). I have been using a 1.6 Mpx Camedia at work for several years with
most satisfactory results. You should consider this one if you're looking
for a starter camera or something to throw in your briefcase "just to have".
This is an ideal price for a camera that would probably compete well with a
$79 film camera (you would break even after about 10-15 rolls of film).

CompUSA, South Boulevard and I-485
What skills do you need to know to be a web designer. From
basic HTML and CSS to Javascript, PHP and server management, we
will look at the skills and the places to get those skills.
Please click the link below for more details on the session.
We're looking for volunteers to "own" each page of
the website. If you'd like to learn a little bit about creating
web pages and help support the club, please add your comments to
the forum at pc3.org.

Digital
Camera SIG
Tuesday, November 16, 2004, 7:00pm
CompUSA, South Boulevard and I-485
The next digital camera SIG meeting will be at 7PM on
November 16th @ CompUSA. We will be talking about "Fantastic".
I will show everyone how to professionally make their digital
photos look fantastic using PhotoShop CS. You won't want to miss
this SIG.
Please bring your cameras and digital photos.
New schedule! In January we will meet January 13, 2005 at
Piedmont Natural Gas. Yes, this is the regular General Meeting
time and place. We're doing this because our SIG needs more
space and that's a plenty-big room.
For more discussion on this plan, please see the Forum at http://forum.pc3.org/viewtopic.php?t=5.

We will be having our regularly scheduled board meeting

submit them to President Richard Kinkel no later than the
weekend of the board meeting. I look forward to seeing everyone.
Please put this date on your calendar and please try to attend,
since we need your input on the club's direction. Thank you.
All members are encouraged to come to the Board meeting and
add their comment. If you would like to be added to the Board
