I am looking for a tested application which makes slideshows of jpegs and allows me to put a soundtrack with the slideshow. I then want to be able to burn a DVD of the slideshow and show on a TV.

Roxio Creator 2009 advertises that it does this, but it crashes so frequently as to be unusable. What works?

Have you tried Sun Open Office? It makes slide shows the same as Power Point and it is free
